چکیده
Abstract Background To investigate whether physical performance is independently of activity (PA) associated with positive and negative dimensions mental well-being in middle-aged women. Methods Data were drawn from the Estrogenic Regulation Muscle Apoptosis (ERMA) study which women 47 to 55 years randomly selected Finnish National Registry. They ( n = 909) participated measurements (handgrip force, knee extension vertical jumping height, maximal walking speed, six-minute distance). Both (the Centre for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale, International Positive Negative Affect Schedule Short Form Satisfaction Life Scale) PA self-reported. Associations between variables analysed using multivariate linear regression modelling adjusted body fat mass %, menopausal status symptoms, marital status, parity, employment self-reported disorders, use psycholeptics psychoanaleptics. was then entered into a separate model explore its role associations. Results In models, significant associations distance affectivity B 0.12, p 0.002) life satisfaction 0.15, 0.033) observed. No observed depressive symptoms or affectivity. positively negatively across all variables. Conclusions Of dimensions, aerobic component level. relation other components, results point benefits well-being.

BACKGROUND The association between health-enhancing physical activity (HEPA) and well-being was investigated across a cross-sectional (Study 1; N=243) and a longitudinal, two-wave (Study 2; N=198) design. INTRODUCTION Although evidence suggests physical activity (PA) may be associated with mental well-being at older ages, it is unclear whether some types of PA are more important than others. The purpose of this study is to investigate associations of monitored total PA under free-living conditions, self-reported leisure-time PA (LTPA), and walking for pleasure with mental well-being at age 60-64...
